QR codes for real estate

Estate agents put QR codes on boards and brochures to open listings, video tours and contact cards. QRasli generates them free, and a dynamic code lets one printed board point at a new property once the last one sells.

A board outside a property is seen by everyone who walks past and read by almost nobody — there is only so much you can fit before it becomes a wall of text. A QR code turns that board into a doorway: photos, floor plan, video walkthrough and your contact details, all from one scan, all editable after the board is printed.

What to put behind the code

1

The full listing behind the board

A links page can carry photos, price, floor plan and a map in one place. When the property is under offer you edit the page rather than replacing the board, and when it sells you point the same code at your other listings instead of wasting the passing traffic.

Video walkthrough for people who cannot visit

Buyers relocating from another city decide on shortlists before they ever travel. A video code on the brochure gives them a walkthrough on the spot, which filters out the visits that were never going to convert.

3

Your contact card, saved in one tap

A vCard code saves your name, number and email straight into the phone's contacts. Far more reliable than a business card that lives in a jacket pocket until it is thrown away.

Floor plans and legal documents as PDFs

Serious buyers want the floor plan, the approval documents and the price sheet. A PDF code delivers them without an email exchange, and you can swap in an updated document later without touching the printed material.

Getting it right

Use dynamic codes for every listing

Properties sell, prices drop and photos get replaced. A dynamic code means the board you printed in March still works in September, pointing wherever you need it to.

Size the code for the reading distance

A board read from three metres away needs a much larger code than a brochure held in the hand — roughly 1 cm of code for every 10 cm of distance is a safe starting point.

Track which boards actually work

Give each property or location its own code. Scan counts tell you which boards earn their placement cost and which street simply has no foot traffic.

Common questions

What happens to the code after the property sells?+

Edit the destination to point at your current listings, so the board keeps working for you until you take it down. You can also set it to expire on a date.

Can I tell which board got the most interest?+

Yes. Create one code per board and compare scan counts, including day-by-day trend and rough location, so you can see whether the interest is local or from out of town.

Do buyers need an app to scan it?+

No. Every modern iPhone and Android camera scans QR codes natively — they just point the camera and tap the banner that appears.
