QR codes for retail shops
Retail shops use QR codes for UPI payment at the counter, product catalogues and WhatsApp ordering. QRasli creates them free, and dynamic codes let you update the catalogue or offer behind a printed sticker at any time.
A counter sticker is the cheapest storefront upgrade there is. It takes payments without a card machine, hands customers a catalogue without printing one, and opens a WhatsApp chat that turns a one-time buyer into a repeat one. Here is what shops actually put behind the code.
What to put behind the code
Accept UPI without a card machine
Every UPI app scans the same standard code, so one printed sticker covers Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and every bank app. Money lands directly in your account — QRasli never touches it. A dynamic version lets you change the UPI ID or amount later without reprinting.
Make this code →Hand over a catalogue instantly
A PDF catalogue behind a code means customers browse your full range on their own phone instead of what fits on the shelf. Update the PDF when stock changes and the same sticker serves the new one.
Make this code →Take orders on WhatsApp
A WhatsApp code opens a chat with a message already typed, so the customer only has to press send. For shops that deliver locally, this replaces a phone number nobody saves with a conversation you can reply to at your own pace.
Make this code →Run an offer you can switch off
Point a dynamic code at this month's offer page. When the promotion ends, change the destination or set an expiry date and the code stops sending people to a dead deal — no need to peel anything off the window.

Test with one rupee before printing
Scan your printed sample with two different UPI apps and send yourself ₹1. Confirm the payee name shown is the one customers should recognise.
Keep payment codes high-contrast
At a busy counter, scan speed matters more than styling. Dark pattern on white reads fastest; save the brand colours for catalogue and offer codes.
Put it where hands already are
Beside the till, on the bill folder, on the delivery bag. A code on the far wall gets admired and never scanned.

Common questions
Is this as official as the QR my bank gave me?+
It encodes the same standard UPI payment string. Payments go directly to your UPI ID through your existing account, so settlement works exactly as it does with a bank-issued code.
Can I change my UPI ID later without new stickers?+
Yes, if you create it as a dynamic code. Scanning opens a hosted payment page whose UPI ID, amount and note you can edit any time. Static codes bake the details into the pattern, so those need reprinting.
Do I need a smartphone at the counter?+
No. The customer scans your printed code with their phone. You only need your UPI app to confirm money arrived.
